Paul Hamilton, 99, of Little Elm, Texas, passed away on October 15, 2023 in Carrollton, Texas. Paul was born on October 14, 1924 in Durant, Oklahoma to Rufus Leon and Stella (Washington) Hamilton. He grew up in Caddo, Oklahoma and graduated from Caddo High School in May 1942. Paul was assigned to farm duty during WWII. On October 4 1946, Paul married Joanna Reese in Denison, Texas. He went to work for OG & E shortly after they got married. While working for OG&E, they lived in various places including Ardmore, Oklahoma; Ft. Smith, Arkansas; Guthrie, Oklahoma; and Canton, Oklahoma. Paul and Joanna moved to Norman in1953. In February of 1960, they moved to Eufaula, where they resided until moving to Little Elm, Texas to be closer to family and medical facilities. Paul always considered Eufaula home. He and Joanna were happily married for over sixty-nine years when she passed away in 2015. Paul was a member of the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Prosper, Texas. His hobbies were fishing and watching college football.
Survivors include: his sons: Mike Hamilton, of Aubrey, TX; Steve Hamilton, of Monument, CO; four grandchildren: Chris Hamilton of Grapevine, TX, Amy Shaftner of Aubrey TX, Stephanie Hamilton Nilson of Las Vegas, NV, and Meghan Ringstorm of Monument, CO; great grandchildren, Reese Diaz, Sophie Diaz, Hanah Ringstorm, Hudson Hamilton and Holden Hamilton and his brother, Larry Hamilton of Durant, OK. He is preceded in death by his wife, Joanna Hamilton, parents Rufus and Stella Hamilton, and his brothers Bill, James and Don Hamilton.
