Paul Charles Giacomo

January 31, 1940 — March 11, 2017

Paul was born on January 31, 1940, in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of Michael Francis and Beatrice (Derichsweiler) Giacomo. He attended McAlester High School and later graduated from Denison High School in Denison, TX. He later attended Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton. Paul enlisted in the United States Navy in Sherman, TX in 1959. He was part of the Expeditionary Forces in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged on June 30, 1965. He then joined the Army National Guard in 1976 and was honorably discharged on May 5, 1992. On November 28, 1986, Paul married Diane Baker in Tulsa, OK. They were happily married for thirty years. They moved to Eufaula in 2002. He was a member and past Commander of the VFW Post 8798. Survivors include: his wife, Diane, of the home; his sons, Paul Giacomo II and wife Gena and Russ Harders and wife Rachel; his daughters, Jackie Giacomo, Denise Hurst and husband Jeff and Jennifer Fincher and husband Richard; and fourteen grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Patrick Giacomo.
