Patricia June Pipkins

Patricia "Patti" June (Garrett) Pipkins was born June 25, 1928, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Earl Julian and Ida Mae (Rudd) Garrett. Patti passed away Friday evening, at 94 years of age, April 21, 2023, surrounded by her family. She attended Hanna Schools before moving to Eufaula her sophomore year, and graduated from Eufaula High School in 1946. Patti attended Christian College in Columbia, Missouri, then went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, where she received her Bachelors degree. She married her high school sweetheart Maurice "Chi Chi" Leon Pipkins Jr. With Chi Chi being enlisted in the United States Navy, the two moved to Florida. After his discharge, Patti and Chi Chi returned to Eufaula to start their family and business adventures.

Patti was employed with the Department of Human Services, and eventually retired as the County Administrator. She worked long and hard, not only as a social worker but as the administrator on getting the new building for McIntosh County Department. Patti was a member of PEO Chapter T and served on other committees in the Eufaula area.

Patti was a member of the United Methodist Church. She loved her church, one of her last duties was cleaning, shining and preparing for communion. She loved her alone time at the church doing that duty.

Patti enjoyed her retired years doing whatever she wanted! She was Mrs. Heritage in 2018, which was an overwhelming honor for her. Patti had her 90th birthday party the same year, with an incredible turn out, that she cherished to the end.

Patti is survived by her daughters, Jan Pipkins, Karin Pipkins and Marcy Lynn Pipkins Aquino; grandson, Rodney Powell; great grandchildren, Daxton and wife Heather, Dakota, Tayler, Hunter Powell and wife Heather; great great grandchildren, Wyatt, Cashlynn, Kollyns, Charlotte, Bennett and Daxton Jr.; granddaughter, Stacy Atwood and husband Justin; great grandchildren, Justus, Riley, Daniel, Madison and Taylor; grandson, Julian Shane Allen Aquino and wife Hayley; one brother, Rudd Garrett and wife Janice; and nephew, Steve Garrett. She is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice "Chi Chi: Leon Pipkins Jr.; parents Earl and Ida Mae Garrett; and one grandchild, Portia Aquino.
