Otis Wayne Carruthers, 65, of Sperry, went to be with the Lord on September 30, 2021 in Yukon, Oklahoma. Otis was born on March 24, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Randell Ray and Vinita Elizabeth (McQuay) Carruthers. He attended Sperry Elementary and High School. Otis followed his father, brothers, uncles, cousins, and nephews into the Construction Industry. He became a concrete mason and worked for various companies throughout the years, including Cowen Construction, Arrow Concrete, Tommy Wates, and at one time started O&J Concrete. Otis was a member of the Local 690 in Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years. On June 25, 2011, he married Sue Ellen Marie Wiser in Jenks, Oklahoma. They were happily married for ten years. He was a former member of the First Assembly of God Church of Skiatook and was a member of the New Beginnings Ministries of Skiatook. Otis knew the Lord and accepted Him as his Lord and Savior. Otis was a hard worker, cutting trees and delivering firewood in the winter. He enjoyed both hunting and fishing and actively pursued both whenever time permitted. He loved his family and they were his world, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include: his wife, Suzie Carruthers, of the home; son, Jeremy Carruthers and wife, Brandi of Tulsa; daughter, Jessieca Carruthers of Skiatook; five grandchildren: Ryder, Jaxon, Kyler, Kale, and Kayne; two brothers: Noel Carruthers and wife, Shanda of Sperry; Rickey Carruthers and Staci Willard of Sperry; and three sisters: Janet Hodge and husband, Allen of Olympia, WA; Judy Bender and husband, Ken of Owasso; and Phyllis Stewart and husband, Marvin of Tok, AK. He is preceded in death by his parents, Randell and Vinita Carruthers.
