Onita was born on September 19, 1925 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to George and Nora (Cox) Glover. On March 24, 1943, she married Jean Paul Hallum, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1985. They were happily married for forty-two years. She owned and operated the City Café. Onita also worked as a medical aid at the Eufaula Nursing Homes. She was a member of the Eufaula Church of Christ. Survivors include: sons: Homer Ray Hallum and wife, Phyllis, of Sapulpa, OK; Melvin Hallum and wife, Nellie, of Eufaula, OK; daugters: Nakina Jones and husband, Ronnie, of Checotah, OK; Bettina Buck and husband, Randal, of Eufaula, OK; sister, Beatrice Campbell, of Eufaula, OK; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by: Nova McAdoo, Opal Perguson, Willie Glover, J.G. Glover, Oleta Housley, Dimple Glover, UnaDee Duke, and Evelyn Deaver.
