Oather Glen "Goob" Hampton, 62, of Stidham/Eufaula passed away from cardiac arrest Monday, January 29, 2018, at the St. Francis Hospital of Muskogee. "Goob" was born on April 1, 1955, in Stidham, Oklahoma the son of Oather and Aldora Alta (Barry) Hampton. He attended school at both Stidham and Hanna. He served in the National Guard Reserves from 1975-1978. He previously worked for McIntosh County and was since disabled. "Goob" enjoyed gardening and tinkering with lawn mowers and tillers. He is survived by his daughter, Bridgett Downum and husband Chris of Eufaula; his son, Brandon Hampton and wife Wanessa of Eufaula; his sisters, Vera June Patterson of Eufaula, Edith Siler of Ohio, Denece Smith and husband Bruce of Antlers and Betty Brown and husband Mike of Stidham; brothers, Carl Hampton of Kellyville and Edwin Hampton and wife Janie of Kellyville; four grandchildren Lillian, Jillian, CJ and Seth and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Richard Hampton, and his sisters, Anna Treat and Ellen Jean Pendley.
