Norma Jean Thomas, 78, of Eufaula, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019, at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee. She was born on June 1, 1941, in Crowder, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joseph and Minnie (Carter) Vail. She graduated from Crowder Public Schools in 1957. She married Berry Lee Thomas on April 29, 1963. He preceded her in death in 1980. Norma worked as a CNA retiring from Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. She then worked as a housekeeper at the Friendly Manor. She enjoyed puzzle books, crocheting and quilting. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include: her daughters, Regina Lee Thomas of Eufaula, OK, Shirley McGlassen of Highlands Ranch, CO and Jerri Thomas and husband, Tim Helzer of Ozark, MO; her sisters, Ima Jean Robertson and Bonnie Vail; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren with two on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Berry; brothers: Homer, LD, Leo, Lenard, Coleman, Pete, Elmer, and Eugene; sisters: Geniva, Inez, Iona, Ina Lee, Betty, and Cory; her son, Mitchell Wayne Thomas and her fiance, Bill Kuykendall.
