Nora Belle Hunn

Nora Belle Hunn, 89, lifelong resident of Kiowa County, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at the Hobart Living Center. Nora Belle was born on October 6, 1923 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma to Jacob Peter and Clara (Cartwright) Everhart. She attended school in Bethel and Lone Wolf. On July 15, 1942, Nora Belle married Millard “Sonny” L. Hunn in the Bethel Church, with Reverend Henry Shriner. They were married for sixty-three years. She worked at the old Hobart Hospital as a nurse and in later years worked at the Granite Liquor Store. Nora Belle was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. Survivors include: son, Jake Hunn and wife, Shirley; daughters: L’Nora Barger and husband Lanny, of Granite; LaVoise Monday, of Hobart; sister in-law, Nina Rose Baker and husband, Barton, of Hobart; grandchildren: Rhonda Hanlin, of Billings; Kim Zachary and husband, Rod, of Granite; Lisa McClure, of Granite; Lana Branch and husband, Chris, of Ulysses, KS; and Jay Hunn and wife, Kathy, of Eufaula; great grandchildren: Cody Hines and wife, Miranda; Candice Hines; Casey and Laken Zachary; Bobby, Melissa, Cole, Justin, and Kira Hanlin; Faith and Carson McClure; Drew Miller and wife, Whitney; Seth Miller and wife, Kindrah; Mercedes Gilliland and husband, Todd; Jacqueline Branch; Cameron Branch; Jake and Josh Hunn; Ashley Monday; Amanda Jones and husband, Scott; and Zach Monday; great great grandchildren: Miller Hines; Drake and Langsten Prince; J.J. Ellis; Shaidyn and Trinity Dean; Aiden, Jayla, and Benton Miller; Sage Miller; and Kollin Gilliland. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jacob and Clara Everhart; husband, Millard “Sonny” Hunn in 2005; two brothers: Willie Albert “Bill” in 1969 and Jacob Peter “J.P. Mutt” Everhart in 1989; two grandsons: Kenneth Monday in 1992 and Danny Hines in 1995; and a great great grandson, Seth Miller, II.
