Monroe Lemons

L. Monroe Lemons, 75, of Eufaula, passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Monroe was born on September 16, 1944, in Eufaula, Oklahoma the son of Ted and Olene (Willmon) Lemons. He attended school in both Eufaula, Oklahoma and Arvin, California. He married Veronica Richards in 1962, in Bakersfield, California. They were married for eleven years. Monroe later married Margaret Shaver on April 14, 1978. They were happily married for over forty years. Monroe worked for PIttsburg County District 1. Survivors include: his daughters, Trina L. Martin, of Hanna and Teresa McKay and husband JD of Lancaster, California; his sisters, Marilyn and husband Charles Flud of Pryor, Oklahoma and Morene Lyday of Bakersfield, California; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted & Olene Lemons, his sister, Estalene Hendrix; his wives, Veronica Brown and Margaret Lemons; two daughters, Tonia Price and Carla Spears and one grandchild, Molly McKay.
