Monnie Rosella Helms

Monnie Helms, 93, of Broken Arrow, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, in Broken Arrow. Monnie was born on January 19, 1926, in Konawa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Samuel Garrett and Arminta Elzora (Trotter) Stark. Monnie attended school at Stidham. On December 14, 1943 Monnie married Lloyd Leon Helms in Colorado Springs, CO. Monnie was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include: her daughters, Barbara Poteet, of Broken Arrow, and Alene Lethermon, of Sand Springs; sisters, Lena Faye Edwards, of Muskogee, and Cleta Fern Malouff, of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Donna Acklin and husband Chad, of Tulsa, Wade Lethermon and wife Rhonda, of Sapulpa, Kevin Leon Poteet and wife Anisa, of Claremore, Tina Renee Hawkins and husband Don, of Tulsa, Greg Poteet and wife Kari, of Bixby, and Paul Lethermon and wife, Faith, of Sand Springs; great grandchildren, Tyler, Paige, Emily, Zachary, Jade, Noah, Carina, Ray, Kaylee, Blake, Bryar, Miguel, Esai, and Nelo; and five great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Arminta Stark; brothers, James, Russell, Leroy, and Troy; her infant twin brother, Connie, another infant brother, Farris and a sister, Opal.
