Milo D. Ketchum, 72 of Eufaula, OK was called home to the Lord surrounded lovingly by his family on November 22, 2021. He was born February 12, 1949 in Clarion, Iowa to Kenneth Dwight and Bettie Francilla (Marten) Ketchum. He graduated from Mound Westonka High School and Normandale College obtaining a culinary degree. He met and married the love of his life Lavendia (Layman) Ketchum in Seattle, WA in 1971. They recently celebrated their 50th year of marriage in August with their family. Milo will fondly be remembered and profoundly missed by his wife Lavendia of the home, children, Elle RaQuel Sterling of Eden Prairie, MN, Kimberlie and Michael Luster of Eufaula, OK, Nathan Ketchum of Eufaula, OK, Caleb Ketchum of Quinton, OK, Genessa and Tim Newberry of Rogers, AR, and Cassie and Danny Morris of Tahlequah, OK, siblings Lissa Kelly of Maple Lake, MN and Dan Ketchum of Maple Lake, MN, twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents. A true lifelong learner always studying the bible, teaching himself to sing and play a variety of instruments, piloting planes, woodworking, and expanding his vocabulary with verbal advantage. A project manager and consummate entrepreneur he started many businesses as a real estate agent, mortgage broker, craftsman, and mobile tools salesman with Tailgate Tools. He retired in 2011 and on any given day he could be found penning poems, writing, composing, and performing music on his guitar and piano, or as he lovingly referred to it being an airport bum. A member of the Eufaula FUMC and devoted Christian he spent his life ministering and using his gifts to lead others to come to know the Lord as well.
