Mildred Vaughn Patterson

Mildred was born on June 3, 1925 in Van Alstyne, Texas to Charlie and Mossie Beatrice (McNew) Hughes. She attended school at Stidham. On November 11, 1942, Mildred married Roy Patterson, who preceded her in death on April 25, 2011. They were happily married for sixty-nine years. She lived in Laverne, Oklahoma from 1958 to 1982. She worked as a clerk for Mitch"s and at Jack & Jill"s in Laverne. Mildred later worked at Morey Drug and Western Auto. She was a member of the Vivian Baptist Church. Survivors include: son, Roy Patterson and wife, Debbie, of Wichita, KS; daughter, Barbara Wiseman, of Fairview, TX; grandchildren: Eric Wiseman and wife, Julia, of Katy, TX; Emily Christodoulides and husband, Chris, of Plano, TX; Jason Patterson and wife, Olga, of Salt Lake City, UT; and Lindsay Jones and husband, Aaron, of Overland Park, KS; and great grandchildren: Elric Wiseman, Aidan Christodoulides, Leah Christodoulides, Zachary Patterson, Katherine Patterson, Avery Jones, Jocelyn Jones, and Connor Jones. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Patterson; son in-law, Elvin Wiseman; one brother, and eight sisters.
