Mildred Newachache Baker, 89, of Quinton, passed away Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at the McAlester Regional Medical Center. Mildred was born on August 6, 1923, in Dustin, Oklahoma the daughter of Lurty and Nora (Watson) Nester. She attended school at Chilocco Indian High School. Mildred moved to California where she worked for the Electronics Department of General Dynamics making missiles. In 1966, Mildred married Ber J. Baker, Jr. in Westville, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on October 1, 1994. She moved back to Oklahoma and worked for an electric company in Tulsa. She then moved to Quinton in 1974 where she lived until her death. After moving to Quinton, she worked for the McAlester Hospital. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Sandy Stevens and husband Joe of Kaw City, Oklahoma and Trisha Orr and husband Wayne of Eufaula; her brothers, Charles Nester of Ada and A.D. Partidge and wife Darlene of Blue Eye, Missouri; her sister, Alma Nester of Wetumka; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and infant son, Charles Wayne, one daughter, Terrie Brown, her brothers, Homer Partidge, Kenneth Partidge, Bobby Partidge, a grandson, Brent Davenport and a great grandson, Jessica Debo.
