Michael Clodis Smith

September 18, 1954 — May 22, 2023

Michael was born September 18, 1954, to the late Bennie Jack Sr. and Annie Ruth (Cole) Smith. Mike gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Jackson Chapel CME in Eufaula, OK.

Mike graduated from Eufaula High School. After graduation he joined the United States Air Force where he served his country for the next 8 years. Mike was a black belt in karate, loved playing chess and going to the casino.

Mike was one of the best Golden Glove Boxers from Eufaula, Oklahoma. Mike was know very well as a boxer in Joplin, Missouri, Kansas City, Kansas and other states around.

In 1975, Michael married Howah Shannon, 2 children were born of this union. In 1988 he united with Angie Johnson and 4 children were born of this union. Angie preceded Mike in death.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie Jack Sr. and Annie Ruth Cole Smith; his children's mother, Angie; two daughters, Michelle Smith and Themesha Smith and grandson Xzavion Smith; 4 brothers Bennie Jr. and Jerry DuRand West, Tommy Smith and Jerry Smith; one sister Anita Smith-Shores; two nephews Lamont Ford and Christopher Shade.

Those left to cherish his memories, his children 3 sons, Michael C. Smith Jr. of Baltimore, Maryland, Marky E. Smith and Alante of Oklahoma City, OK; 1 daughter Nia S. Smith also of Oklahoma City, OK; 10 grandchildren, 4 brothers, Glen Smith and Rodney Smith of Eufaula, OK, Ervin Smith and Jimmy Smith of Oklahoma City, OK; 3 sisters, Una Nishetta Smith of Muskogee, OK, Gloria Smith-Brewer Eufaula, OK and Toni Smith of Oklahoma City, OK. A very special lady friend Rochelle Harjo of Eufaula, OK and a special niece Marquetta Adgebite; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
