Merle "Wayne" Largent

Merle "Wayne" Largent, 63, of Tulsa, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa. Wayne was born on June 3, 1952, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Sherman Owen and Helen Ray (Richardson) Largent. He attended Central High School in Tulsa. On June 13, 1969, Wayne enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served for three years and then went to the National Guard for several years. On December 2, 1972, Wayne married Sandra Gale Selman in Tulsa. He worked at Welsco delivering compressed gas bottles for several years. Survivors include: his wife, Sandra, of the home; his daughters, Suzanne Dennis of Hominy, Karen Largent of Owasso, Sandra Smith and husband Jason of Tulsa and Jennifer Largent also of Tulsa; his brothers, Darrell Largent and wife JoAnn of Broken Arrow, Terry Largent of Tulsa and Ronnie Largent of Tulsa; his sisters, Judy Grimes of Broken Arrow, Sharon Sanderson and husband Bobby of Owasso, Raella Wallace of Foyil and Tressa Largent of Owasso; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, George Thomas and a sister, JoAnn.
