Medella Hill

Medella Hill, 92, of Eufaula, passed away Friday, December 8, 2017, at her home. Medella was born on August 5, 1925, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the daughter of Joe Sr. and Leah (Barnett) Colbert. She attended Deeres Chapel School and later received her GED. Medella worked as the head cook at the Eufaula Boarding School for forty years. She was a member of the Tuskegee Indian Baptist Church. Survivors include: her grandchildren, Vanessa Hill of Eufaula, Sandra Sapulpa and Jo Mekko Hill of Tulsa, Kyle Hill of Tulsa; her sisters, Esther Harjo of Kansas, Josephine Schanandore of Wisconsin and Claudette Harjo of Eufaula; nine great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Peggy Hill, her sons, Jimmy Hill and Belvin Hill; her brothers, Charlie Colbert, Joe Colbert, Rudolph Colbert and her sister Eilizabeth Deere.
