Mary Madalyn Rumsey

Mary was born on February 23, 1922 in Mellette, Oklahoma to Samuel Washington and Mary Permila (Gils) Rippy. She graduated from Stidham High School in 1940. On February 19, 1945, Mary married Orlen Francis Rumsey, who preceded her in death on December 2, 1991. They were happily married for over forty-six years. She enjoyed cooking and working in her yard and garden. Mary was a member of the Stidham First Baptist Church. She also loved quilting and her church family. Survivors include: son, Thomas Joe Rumsey and wife, Lynn, of Savanna, OK; two grandchildren: Devin Ballard and husband, Riley, of Las Vegas, NV; Megan Rumsey, of Savanna, OK; and three great grandchildren: Ava, Georgia, and Austin. She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Peggy Joyce Rumsey; brothers: Don, George, Cecil, and Vaston; and sisters, Mildred and Zell.
