Marvina Wanita Bonds, 79, of Stigler, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, October 11, 2022, at her home. Wanita was born on August 19, 1943, in Ringold, Oklahoma, the daughter of Marion A. Abbott and Viola (Dixon) Abbott. She graduated from Arvin High School in 1961. Wanita worked in agriculture in the packing shed. On March 30, 1994, she married JL Bonds in Antioch, California. They were happily married for eleven years, before he preceded her in death on January 15, 2005. In 2017, she moved from Bakersfield to Eufaula, Oklahoma. Wanita was a parishioner of the Truth Tabernacle in Bakersfield, California from 1980 - 2017 and The Pentecostals of Eufaula from 2017- 2022. She was an avid quilter, cook, embroiderer, and painter.
Survivors include: daughters: Shannon Bonds, Kimberly Brown and spouse William, and Carra Hardy and spouse Marc; two grandchildren: DeNae Brown-Murray and RaeAnn Denny; one great grandchild: Amelia Denny. She is preceded in death by her mother, Viola Abbott; father, Marion Abbott; siblings: Muriel Lobdel, R.C. Abbott, Betty Wilson, Paul Abbott, Melvin Abbott, and Larry Abbott; and husband, JL Bonds.
