Marvin was born on March 29, 1923, in Quinton, the son of Joe M. and Alice (Folsom) Ginn. He graduated from Russellville High School. He enlisted in the Marines and served during World War II. He married Virginia Hulsey in 1970 in McAlester, Oklahoma. They were happily married for forty-six years. Marvin served as a preacher all of his adult life. In 1983, he served the Church of God in Shawnee. He then preached at the Ash Creek Church and Elm Point for fourteen years. Marvin was the Mayor of Quinton for many years and continued to serve as a councilman until just about a year ago. Survivors include: his daughters, Janice Durham of Quinton, OK; his sons, David Dugger and wife Pam of Corinth, TX, Shannon Ginn of McAlester, OK; his grandchildren, Jamie, Amber, Megan, Chris, Marvin and Shelby; his great grandchildren, Alex, Drew, Cole, Mason and Blaine; and his brother, Doyle Ginn and wife Bonnie of Sperry; and his children from a previous marriage, June Bush of Oklahoma City, OK and Junior Ginn and Dwayne Ginn both of Arizona. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Virginia, his siblings, Beulah Miller, Ellen Wiles, Stella Risenhoover, Edna Adcock, Edith Wiles, Ima Jean Bruce, Virginia Hope, Kenneth Ginn, an infant baby girl, Joe Ginn and one great grandchild, Kaydence.
