Marie Edith Hill

Marie Edith Hill, 90, of Checotah, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Marie was born on July 31, 1920 in Stidham, Oklahoma the daughter of Lewis Issac and Mattie May (Moore) Story. On September 23, 1939, Marie married Leonard Roy Barton in Eufaula. She later married Jack L. Hill on March 29, 1958 in Oklahoma City. Marie worked as a beautician for over forty years. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Checotah. Survivors include: her son, Roger Barton and wife Jo Beth of Eufaula; a grandson, Phil Barton and wife Deidra of Tulsa; two grandchildren, Olivia Barton of Norman and Alex Barton of Tulsa and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
