Margaret Pugh, 70, passed away August 6, 2024. She was born April 16, 1954 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Andrew Jackson and Ocie Florene (Barns) Cantrell. Margaret graduated from Panama School. Margaret was a member of the Southside Volunteer Fire Department, Stigler VFW Womens Auxiliary, and the Haskell County Hospital Auxiliary. On July 27, 1990, Margaret married James Pugh. They were happily married for almost thirty-three years, before he preceded her in death on June 8, 2023. She worked for Kibois for a short time but was mostly a homemaker, taking care of her family. Margaret enjoyed bingo, shopping, going to yard sales, and taking care of her plants and flowers. She also loved to spend time with her family and friends, holiday gatherings, and her dogs: Tank, Baby Girl, and Sassy.
Survivors include her children: Angi Williamson and spouse Sam, of McAlester; Rhonda Smith and spouse Gary, of Canadian; Rebecka Gardenhire and spouse Roger, of Sallisaw; and Chris Pugh and spouse Amy, of Stigler; Jaymi Moore and spouse Woody, of Van Buren; brother, Harold Cantrell and spouse Ronnie, of Eufaula; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-five great grand children and one great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Florene Cantrell; husband, James Pugh; brother and sister in-law, Larry and Carol Cantrell; sisters: Barbara Isbell and Susan Stewart; and one son, Randy Pugh.
