Margaret Ann Monks

Margaret Ann Monks, 81, of Quinton, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021, at her home. Margaret was born on March 4, 1939, in Quinton, the daughter of Millard and Euna Mae (Seabolt) Payton. She graduated from Quinton High School. On April 27, 1964, Margaret married Leon Monks, in Eufaula, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on March 3, 1998. Margaret was a member of the West Liberty Baptist Church. Survivors include: her daughters, Paula Haynes of Owasso, Gayla Smith and husband Mike of McAlester and Mindy Bumpers of the home; her grandson, Ty Smith; a great granddaughter, Blayke Smith-Weeks; her brothers, Reggie Payton of Skiatook and Ronnie Payton and wife Patricia of Liberty Mounds; her sister, Gloria Howell and husband Miles of Okmulgee. She is preceded in death by her father, Millard Payton, her mother, Euna Mae Dunnavant, her husband Leon Monks, a sister in law, Janie Payton, mother in law, Dortha Bland and a nephew Scot Payton.
