Marceline Marie Griffin

Marceline Marie Griffin, 95, of Eufaula, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Marceline was born on November 23, 1928 in Cushing, Oklahoma to James W. and Winnie (Wadlow) Place. On August 16, 1947, she married Harry Griffin. They were happily married for sixty-four years before he preceded her in death on May 24, 2012. Marceline had a business all of her life and lived all over Oklahoma, but most notably in the Stroud and Davenport area, then in Del City for thirty-two years before residing in Eufaula until her passing. She ran a dress store in Stroud and restaurants in Oklahoma City, Midwest City, and Eufaula. Marceline also sold produce for several years after that. Working was always a big part of her life. She was a member of the Texanna Assembly of God Church, where she enjoyed singing until she couldn't because of her declining health. The last eighteen months, Marceline resided in Rivendell Living Center in Oklahoma City, where she enjoyed bingo and arts and crafts. Marceline loved watching her grandchildren and taking them on vacation. She always wanted to take care of her family.
