Lynne Louise Carrier

August 28, 1945 — October 18, 2020

Lynne Ford Carrier, RN, 75, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2020. She was born on August 28, 1945, to her loving parents Loniel and Rosalie Ford in Springfield, MO. Lynne married the love of her life Joseph A. Carrier, Sr., on October 22, 1983 after he slipped a note in her lab coat while working in surgery at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was the mother of two children, her daughter Shannon Carrier Smith and son Cameron Ford Carrier. Lynne enjoyed fishing, family holidays, baking, cooking and entertaining. Her favorite memories included marrying the love of her life Joseph A. Carrier, Sr., the births of her children, grandchildren and her time worshiping in church. Lynne was a dedicated mother, nurse, ‘Nanny’ and ‘Wa-Wa’ to her children, grandchildren and great grandchild. She enjoyed their academic successes and all of their athletic abilities, spending many days and nights at baseball, basketball, soccer, dance recitals and cheer competitions. Lynne had a very outgoing personality and always made friends wherever she went. She had many talents including being a Kiltie during high school; playing drums and bagpipes. She also could out fish anyone in the family, friends and always had the ‘Biggest catch’. Lynne was a Charter member at Wesley United Methodist Church, Springfield, Mo. And a member of Alpha Gamma Delta. She is preceded in death by her parents and aunt and uncle George and Helen Clinkenbeard. She is survived by her husband, Joe; her daughter Shannon and husband Darrin Smith; their children Coleman Ford Van Sickle, Keaton Carrier Van Sickle and Madelynne Mae Smith; her son Cameron and wife Teri Carrier; their children Mason Ford Carrier and Kendall Anne Carrier; Granddaughter Elisa Blankenship her husband Randall and great grandson Owen; four cousins, Joel, Sara, Laura and Steven Clinkenbeard, and multiple nieces and nephews.
