Lynn "Gene" Eugene Wilkerson

Lynn "Gene" Eugene Wilkerson, 91, of Quinton, passed away on July 21, 2014 at the Haskell County Hospital in Stigler, Oklahoma. Gene was born on March 23, 1934 in Bowlegs, Oklahoma to William Linz and Savola Ellen (Banks) Wilkerson. He lived in Schulter, Oklahoma from 1935 to 1950 and attended school there up until the 8th grade. Gene worked in the plumbing supply business and also as a truck driver. He lived in California from 1950 to 1977. On August 29, 1964, Gene married Bernice Musson. They were happily married for fifty years. In 1977, they moved to Quinton, Oklahoma, where he resided until his death. Survivors include: his wife, Bernice Musson Wilkerson, of Quinton; son, Lynn Wilkerson, II, of Ohio; daughters, Charlotte Wilkerson, of Atoka, OK; Rachel Jackson and husband, Kurt, of Atoka, OK; step son, Richard Wright, of Bartlesville, OK; sister, Mary Shelton and husband, Bob, of Quinton; Colleen Ewan, of Tahlequah, OK; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Savola Wilkerson.
