Lynette Mendoza, 66, of Eufaula passed away on June 9, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Lynette was born on March 22, 1956 in Fort Ord, California to Floyd Eugene and Barbara (Wagster) Hughes. She graduated from King City High School in California in 1974. In 1982, Lynette married Thomas Mendoza on April 4, 1981 and the two were divorced November 9, 1982. She never remarried. She moved to Eufaula in 2003. Lynette worked at the Eufaula Memorial Library from 2004 - 2016, where she was in charge of updating and maintaining the computers. During that time, she would take home computers to be worked on and fix. Lynette was a member of the Vivian Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafts, especially crocheting and cross stitch. Lynette made victorian dresses for dolls and gave them as gifts. She was also an accomplished pianists. Survivors include: her son, Paul Hughes, of the home; brother, Dennis Hughes, of Valley Springs, CA; and several nieces and nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Barbara Hughes and one sister, Rebecca Helzer.
