Lyndon M. "Sonny" Wilson, Jr. 78, of Stigler, Oklahoma, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021, at the McAlester Nursing Center. Lyndon was born on April 7, 1942, in Biscoe, Arkansas, the son of Lyndon and Lillian (James) Wilson. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1960. Lyndon enlisted in the United States Army on February 9, 1962. He was honorably discharged on October 17, 1962. He worked at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory in Las Vegas. He also worked at Tinker Air Force Base for a short time. On April 28, 1984, Lyndon married Mary Alexander in Shawnee. They were happily married for thirty-six years. Lyndon enjoyed working as a greeter for Wal-Mart and continued greeting people even when he was moved to the nursing home. Survivors include: his wife, Mary, of the home; his daughters, Teresa DeJarnett of Spencer, Tina Wilson Wade of Oklahoma City, Marcella Childers and husband Will of Oklahoma City, Miranda Fournier and husband Jay of Oklahoma City, and step daughter, Jane Wright and husband Jimmy of Shawnee; his step son, Sean; his brother, Ronald Gene Wilson and wife Annette of War Acres; his sister, Pat Wood and husband Ron of Oklahoma City; his brother in law, Jim England of Shawnee; fourteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Mary Ann Brewer and Eva England and a step son, Delbert Alexander, Jr. who passed on March 7, 2021.
