Loyd Arlin Eubanks

Loyd Arlin Eubanks, 85, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021, at his home surrounded by family. Loyd was born on November 11, 1935, in Blue Mountain, Mississippi, the son of Vernell Lambert and Bernice Esther (Ezell) Eubanks. He attended Jones Jr. College in 1953 and received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Alabama in 1962. Loyd enlisted in the United States Marine Corp on February 16,1953 in Laurel, Mississippi. While enlisted he served as a Captain and pilot on F86 planes and helicopters. On March 8, 1958, Loyd married Gloriana Sue Reeves at Modesto, California. They were happily married for sixty-three years. Loyd resided in several different states during his lifetime including Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, and California. Loyd retired from Northrup Grumman after working for them for thirty years. He enjoyed camping, beekeeping, square dancing, raising bunnies and spending time with his grandkids. Survivors include: his wife, Sue, of the home; his sons, Ken Eubanks of Eufaula, OK and Cliff Eubanks and Mandy Murphy of Keller, TX; a brother Glen Eubanks and wife Marie of Murfreesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Kristin Eubanks, Allie Betterton and Mason Eubanks and three great grandchildren, Olivia, Eleanor and Annabelle. He is preceded in death by his parents and his daughter-in-law, Susan Eubanks A chapel service will be held 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at the Bluebonnet Hills Chapel, 5725 Colleyville Blvd, Colleyville, Tx 76034. Burial will follow at the Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Colleyville, Texas. Services were under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
