Oscar "Louie" Lewis Bedford, 71, of Bower, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021, at his home. Louie was born on August 8, 1949, in Salinas, California, the son of Thomas Lewis and Dorothy Faye (McNew) Bedford. He graduated from Canadian High School in 1968 and received his Associates Degree from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 1970. He enlisted in the United States Air Force on March 23, 1970 and was honorably discharged on March 14, 1974. Louie began working as a rural mail carrier for the Eufaula Post Office in 1979. On June 7,1985, he married Donna Wagnon at Brooken. They were happily married for thirty-five years. Louie enjoyed playing golf, and hunting dove, elk, and deer. After his retirement, he enjoyed sitting in his recliner and picking on Donna. Survivors include: his wife, Donna, and his dog Leroy "Weiner" of the home; his son, David Wagnon of Stigler; daughter, Cathy Caldwell, of Bower; his siblings, Gene and Susan Bedford of Bower, Jerry and Necia Bedford of Canadian, Steve and Debbie Bedford of Bower, Bo and Pam Bedford of Longtown and Kathy Watson and Tony of Bower; two grandchildren, Chelsea Westmoreland and husband, Kacey and Ethan Proctor; a great grandchild, Charli Sue Westmoreland. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rass and Dorothy Bedford and a nephew, Thomas "Billy" Bedford.
