Lou Jean was born on July 22, 1933 in Eufaula, Oklahoma to Henry Washington Jr. and Thyra (Moffett) Brown. She attended school at Booker T. Washington and Eufaula. On June 23, 1951, Lou Jean married Clarence Lee Pierce in Arkansas. They were happily married for over sixty-three years. She worked as a cook for the old Eufaula Manor. Lou Jean was a member of the Wayland Baptist Church. She loved to keep children. Survivors include: her husband, Clarence Pierce, of the home; sons: Jerry Pierce; David Pierce; Tony Pierce, all of Eufaula, OK; daughters: Terry Warrior, of Eufaula, OK; Phyllis Pierce, of Kansas City, KS; Jacqueline Pierce, of Eufaula, OK; Joy Pierce, of Eufaula, OK; brothers: Henry Brown, III and wife, Debbie, of Tulsa, OK; Roy Chester Brown, of Denver, CO; sisters: Stella Mae Martin, of Eufaula, OK; Rose Etta Williams, of Denver, CO; Linda Jackson, of Los Angeles, CA; Glenda Brown, of Tulsa, OK; fourteen grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Clarence Jr. in 2010; grandchildren: Phillip Jerome in 2012; Theus in 2010, Angie in 1994; two infant great grandchildren; and one sister, Rosa Ethel Hawkins.
