Lou Ella Hayes, 94, of Eufaula, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Lou Ella was born on January 24, 1928 in Drumright, Oklahoma to Charley Raymond and Nannie Lea (Morgan) Giddeon. She went to Draughn's Business School in Tulsa. Lou Ella married Ernest Roscoe Hayes, Jr. on December 6, 1947 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They were happily married for sixty-nine years, before he preceded her in death in 2016. Lou Ella worked at Tinker Air Force Base and then later managed the Jean Hodges Custom Drapes Store in Oklahoma City. She and Ernest moved to Eufaula in 1990. Lou Ella and Ernest enjoyed dancing. She was a member of the Eufaula First United Methodist Church. Survivors include daughter: Anita Perry, of Oklahoma City; grandchildren: Shauna Meador, of Verdigris; Brandon Perry and Dillon Perry, both of Oklahoma City; and sisters: Emma Juliene Dorsey and Sue Weatherford. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Nannie Giddeon; husband, Ernest Hayes, Jr.; two brothers, and two sisters.
