Lonnie Ballard

Lonnie Ballard, 64, of Eufaula, passed away on April 11, 2018 at his home. Lonnie was born on November 25, 1953 in Stigler, Oklahoma to Johnnie and Mary Myrtus (McGuire) Ballard. On October 6, 1974, he married Carolyn Sue Powell. They were happily married for forty-three years. Lonnie graduated from Stigler High School in 1976. He received his EMT Certification in 1992. Lonnie received the Hope Haven Animal Rescue Lifetime Member Award. He was a member of the Eufaula Chamber of Commerce. Survivors include: his wife, Carolyn, of the home; sons: Merle Ballard and wife, Melody, of Eufaula, OK; Johnnie Ballard, Sr. and wife, Sheri, of Checotah, OK; Lemuel Ballard and wife, Shelley, of Eufaula, OK; and Windle Ballard and wife, Jessica Mae, of Eufaula, OK; brothers: Manual Ballard and wife, Reta, of Stigler, OK; and Donnie Ballard, of Whitefield, OK; sisters: Jimmie Carol Mackey, of Whitefield, OK; Donna Mosing, of Stigler, OK; and grandchildren: Jamie Widener, Bailey Widener, Allison Ballard, Dillon Ballard, Gavin Ballard, Johnnie Ballard Jr., Kayla Carr, Kira Carr, Lindsey Ballard, Jaxon Simmons Ballard, Samantha Stevenson, Christian Stevenson, and Hollis Ballard. He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtus Ballard; brother, Lemuel Ballard; sister, Christine Edwards; and two grandsons: Tyler Ray Ballard and Chase Holly.
