Lezle Lavone McGehee Pierce Akers, 61, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at her home. Lezle was born on December 25, 1961, in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harold McGehee and Carol Johnson. She graduated from Eufaula High School in 1980. Lezle worked all over the state and in Texas as a waitress. She married Don Gene Akers on June 14, 2014. She was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center. Lezle loved to hunt for Arrowhead, play with her grand babies and spend time with her husband.
Survivors include: her husband, Don, of the home; sons, Jeromie Dye and wife Brandi and Robin of Tulsa, Jason Dye and wife Karla of Tulsa; daughters, Cherish Pierce of Eufaula, Talessia Larson and husband Shane of Indianola; daughter in law, Pamela Ashley; brother, Jay Demorey and wife of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister, Lessia Williams of Waxahachie, Texas; two nephews, Ryan Freeman and wife Heather and John McGehee; niece, Brandi Chacker and husband Mike; grandchildren, Kaison Keck, Kristian Keck, Alicia Pierce, Jesse Larson, Jonah Larson, Easton Dye, Emily Anne Dye, Jackie Dye, Bryan Dye, Gunner Freeman, Jake Freeman and Dayton Freeman; two great great grandchildren and numerous adopted siblings and family. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rusty McGehee.
