Glen was born on August 1, 1930 in Eufaula, Oklahoma, to Benjamin Q. and Maude Belle (Allen) Edwards. He attended school at Deere"s Chapel. Glen enlisted in the United States Army on November 16, 1949, and was honorably discharged on September 16, 1952, serving in the Korean War. On February 3, 1956, he married Melba Lou Burns, who preceded him in death on March 1, 2016. They were happily married for over sixty years. Glen and his wife, Melba, co-owned the Burns IGA Grocery Store, where he worked as the butcher for more than twenty years. He was a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center Church. Survivors include: his daughters: Renee Stewart, of Eufaula, OK; Leslie Gail Edwards, of Siloam Springs, AR; three grandchildren: Roger Glen Stewart; Joseph Stewart and wife, Tiffany; Rachel Stewart, all of Eufaula, OK; two great grandchildren: Noah Wiley Stewart and Shaylee Faith Stewart; and his only cousin, Dean Edwards, of Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Maude Edwards; and his wife, Melba Lou Edwards.
