Leona Irene Thompson, 99, of Eufaula, passed away February 6, 2015. Leona was born on November 12, 1915, in Lovington, New Mexico, the daughter of Samuel Dudley and Lula Pearl (Porterfield) Pollock. Leona married Delbert Tooman in Oklahoma City. They were married for twenty plus years before his death. Leona later married Leonard Thompson in Norman. Leona lived in Midwest City until 1980 when she retired from Tinker. She also worked at First Southern Baptist Church where she helped in the kitchen. Leona was a founding member of the #9 Community Center. She was active in several of the activities held there including the quilting group and the quilters" guild. She was an avid line dancer, an OU fan and a member of FLEAS. Survivors include: her sons, Mr. & Mrs. Del Tooman of Enterprise and Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Tooman of Semi Valley, California; her daughter, Gayle Pence of Tuttle; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Physician"s Choice Hospice in OKC.
