Leon Homer Jennings

Leon Homer Jennings, 86, of Stidham, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at his home. Leon was born on November 24, 1928, in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma, the son of Homer and Gladys (Cox) Jennings. On September 8, 1951, Leon married Mae Acord. They were happily married for sixty-three years. Leon lived in Stidham for over 75 years. He was a member of the Stidham Baptist Church for over 60 years. He retired from Palmer-Swadley Wholesale in 1986 after thirty years of employment. He farmed and ranched in Stidham for over 60 years. Survivors include: his wife, Mae, of the home; his son, Rick Jennings and wife Paula of Stidham; his daughters, Jean Spencer and husband Les of Muskogee and Lisa Ward and husband Jerry of Webbers Falls; two brothers, Larry Jennings of Hartshorne and Don Jennings of Sweetwater, TX; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Haskell Jennings, and a sister Ruby Green.
