Lenora "Christine" Layman

Lenora "Christine" Layman, 90, of California, formerly of Hanna, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Christine was born on November 1, 1929, in Hanna, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ira and Alta (Massengale) Hill. She graduated from Hanna High School. On July 9, 1945, Christine married Zenas Melvin Layman in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They were happily married for sixty-six years. Zenas preceded her in death on August 5, 2011. Christine worked as a telephone operator and supervisor and was a farmer's wife. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Okmulgee. Survivors include: her son, Zenas Layman Jr. and wife Teri of California; grandchildren, Scott Layman and wife Sudy of Bakersfield, CA, Angela Staveley of Checotah; great grandchildren, Owen Staveley and Blair Staveley and Trisha Layman and Trey Layman and three great great grandchildren: Trystin Hinkle, Sterling Staveley, and Emory Wilson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Zenas; her sisters, Wilma Dowling, Maxine Burleson; and her brothers, Earl Hill, Haskell Hill, Burl Hill and Walter Hill.
