Lela Mae Odom

Lela Mae Odom, 99, of Eufaula, went to be with her Heavenly Father, Friday, February 7, 2020, at the Eufaula Manor Nursing Home. Lela was born on July 14, 1920, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, the daughter of Albert Boyd and Jessie (Crabtree) Williams. Lela married Virgil G. Osten, Sr. on October 26, 1938, in Stillwater. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1956. She worked for Adam's Restaurant in Bell Plain, Kansas for six years and later worked at Wal Mart in the fabric department for nine years. Lela later married Luther T. Odom on September 30, 2000 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was a faithful member of the North Fork Baptist Church. Survivors include: her daughter, Alberta W. Goodwin of Palestine, TX; her sons, Virgil G. (Bub) Osten and wife Maxine of Eufaula, OK, and Alvin Ray Osten of Stow, OH; her brother, Billy E. Williams and wife Deloris of Rome, NY; eight grandchildren, Jimmy Adams, Angela Mills, John Osten, Cory Osten, Jeremy Osten, Shelly Colgan, Meri Osten, and Danny Osten; ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Virgil Osten, Sr. and Luther T. Odom, and her siblings, Lloyd Earl Williams, Florence Spillman, Minnie Sloan, Velma Lesh, Leo and Lester Williams, Martha Bush, Wayne and Mack Williams and two infant siblings. In lieu of flowers the family suggests making donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
