Ledessia Fern Effinger, 77, of Eufaula, passed away on May 3, 2019 at the Eufaula Manor. Ledessia was born on June 21, 1941 in Bower, Oklahoma to Luer Grant and Nora Valley (Marshall) French. Ledessia attended grade school in Bower. On May 3, 1960, Ledessia graduated from Canadian High School. She then attended cosmetology school in Tulsa. On September 14, 1976, Ledesia married Henry Effinger. They were happily married for twenty-eight years before he preceded her in death on June 11, 2005. Ledessia was a member of the Longtown Full Gospel Church. Survivors include: her brothers, Leon French and wife Mary Ann, Leland French, Arther French and wife Dorothy, all of Bower, OK; sisters, Beulah Williams, Dixie Dawson, both of Bower, Mavis Hairod and husband Reece, of Panama, OK; and sister in law, Patsy French, of Stidham, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luer Grant and Nora French; husband, Henry Effinger; sisters, Lucille Grider and Bonnie Shaver; brothers, J.D. French, Bobby French, Everett French, Wayne French, Don French, and G.H. French.
