Lawrence Rexroat

 Lawrence (Rex) Rexroat 79, of Eufaula, Oklahoma was the son of Orlie and Ines Rexroat. He was born on August 19, 1945 in Woodward, Oklahoma and passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Rex graduated from Watts, Oklahoma High School. He then married Virginia Morgan Rexroat on January 22, 1965 only to pass five days before their 60th wedding anniversary. They lived in Tulsa and Jenks until retirement when they moved to the lake in Eufaula. Rex loved being at the lake where he could fish, hunt and of course have both daughters, grandchildren and great- grandchildren close by. They were the true joys of his life.

Rex was a member of the First Baptist Church in Eufaula. He worked as a Machinist until 1973 when he went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone collecting money out of pay phones. After three years he continued to work for "Ma Bell" as a cable splicer until retirement.

He is survived by his wife Virginia of the home; his daughters Robin Rexroat of Eufaula and Connie Cannon and husband Carl of Eufaula; his grandchildren Daniel, (Kaci) Bowman, Sarah Bowman, Amanda Cannon, Joseph (Jolynn) Scarborough and Matthew (Karley) Scarborough; great-grandchildren Bryan, Rachel, Nathaniel, Olivia, Lorelie, Gabriel, Joseph Jr., Emily Scarborough, Isabella and Lakyn Sadler, River Garvin, Vance Powell, Zoey Bowman, Andrew and Meadow; sister Dixie Irwin; Brother Alva (Vera) Rexroat; his amazing niece and nephews and a host of family and friends.
