Laura Mae Mitchell

August 19, 1915 — June 18, 2013

Laura was born on August 19, 1915 in Hanna, Oklahoma to George Harrison and Sally (Moore) Spillers. On December 13, 1932, she married W.C. “Bill” Mitchell, who preceded her in death on October 27, 1987. Laura worked as a cook at Hanna Schools for over sixteen years, then at Eufaula Manor Nursing Home for numerous years. She loved to cook and pick cotton. Laura was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Eufaula. Survivors include: son: Joe Mitchell and wife, Charlotte, of Eufaula; daughter: Darlene Mouser and husband, Jack, of Krebs; brother: Larry Spillers, of Preston; eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Mitchell; two brothers: James and Lloyd; one sister, Wanda Jean Spillers; and one granddaughter, Cherie Lloyd.
