Lassie Lavada Smith was born to Roy and Rosie (Dunegan) Dabbs at Artussee, Oklahoma on September 8,1921. At the age of 97, she joined her heavenly family and her Lord on April 25, 2019. Lassie married Emanuel Smith on August 7,1942. Eleven children were born to this union. She was a life-long member of the First Assembly of God Church in Eufaula and nothing was more important to her than serving God. Lassie's hobbies included: sewing, writing poems and songs, and baking for her friends and neighbors. What she enjoyed most of all was singing gospel songs, whether it was around the house, at the church, on the street corner, or in jail services. Lassie is survived by: nine children, sons, Floyd and wife Judy, Bruce and wife Denece, Wesley and wife Kelly, Rex and wife Theresa; daughters, Kay Burns, Connie Brinlee, Cathie and husband Maurice Burns, Carla and husband David Brockman , Cynthia and husband Bob Barrow. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. Lassie was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Rosie Dabbs; seven brothers, Homer, Floyd, J.C., Mylon, William, Teddy, and Lloyd; sister, Ola Gay Bunnell; an infant daughter, Jackie Inell; son, Michael Jerome; and her husband, Emanuel.
