Kurt David Hoss

Kurt David Hoss, son to Ralph and Fern Hoss, passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday evening, December 4th, at the age of 73. Kurt was born in Tulsa on November 30th, 1950. He graduated from Broken Bow High School, went on to Oklahoma University and finally received his BA from the University of Houston in History. He spent 28 years working for the US Postal Service from which he retired in 2014 as a Transportation Supervisor.

He is survived by his three children, Julie Turlington, Leslie Finch, and Brian Hoss, his five grandchildren, Hardy, Hoss, Audrey and DJ Turlington, as well as Brandon Hoss and his cousins John and Gale Burdine.

Kurt was a sportsman, playing football, softball, basketball and sailing. He enjoyed taking his children to sporting events, especially if OU was playing and there was tailgaiting.

He loved a joke and rarely missed a chance to make anyone laugh. Kurt could often be found traveling the roads between Oklahoma and Texas, but he never forgot Eufaula.
