Kermit was born on October 27, 1939 in Stidham, Oklahoma to Duffy and Opal (Hallum) Buck. He graduated from Stidham High School in 1957. Kermit married Patricia Fern Hunter on May 23, 1959 in Eufaula, Oklahoma. They were happily married for fifty-nine years. He worked as Labor Truck Maintenance for the Railroad for thirty-seven years. Kermit loved the great outdoors, fishing, hunting, and working in the garden. He loved to kid around and aggravate people by playing jokes on them and scaring them, all in the name of fun. Kermit loved to laugh. He was a member of the Eufaula Church of Christ. Survivors include: his wife, Patricia Buck, of the home; son, Alan Buck and wife, Susan, of Tulsa, OK; daughter, Jennifer Buck, of Eufaula, OK; brothers, Kyle Buck and wife, Bertha, of Eufaula, OK; and Kelton Buck and wife, Brenda, of Checotah, OK; six grandchildren: John McGehee; Brandi Chacker and husband, Mike; Jay Choat and wife, Courtney; Kody Buck and wife, Valerie; Jake Buck and wife, Sydni; and Jared Choat and wife, Brittany; thirteen great grandchildren: Maurisa, Ethyn, and Kayla Chacker; Ayden, Scarlett, and Maevyn Choat; Mason, Tucker, Kaitlyn, and Charli Choat; Kelsi and Parker Buck; and Carter Buck. He is preceded in death by his parents, Duffy and Opal Buck; brothers, Kenton Buck and Keith Buck; and one daughter, Patty Choat.
