Karen Kay Thompson, 68, of Eufaula, passed away on April 23, 2020 at the St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma after a short and fierce battle with MDS. Karen was born on March 8, 1952 in Pueblo, Colorado to Howard Glenn and Theda Irene (Jennings) Dennis. She graduated from Pueblo High School in Pueblo, Colorado. Karen married Norm Keator and four children were born to this union. She worked as an IT Director for Ki Bois Community Action in Stigler for fourteen years. On November 24, 2007, Karen married Steve Thompson, who preceded her in death in 2017. She was a member of the Checotah Assembly of God Church. Karen enjoyed singing at church, reading, and spending time with her family. Survivors include: sons: Doug Keator; Steve Keator, both of Albuquerque, NM; and Aaron Keator and wife, Leilani, of Colorado Springs, CO; brother, Theodore Howard Dennis; and four grandchildren: Latai Soakai, Michael Keator, Shawn Keator, and Ashley Keator. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Thompson; daughter, Amy Keator; and one brother, Robert Eugene Dennis.
