Justin M. Terney, 22, of Canadian, was killed in the line of duty on Monday, March 27, 2017. Justin was born on December 14, 1994 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Michael "Mike" and Holly Terney. He graduated from Canadian High School in 2014. In July of 2016, Justin graduated from the CLEET Certification Training. He worked for the Tecumseh Police Department. Justin was also a Volunteer Fire Fighter for the Sam"s Point Fire Department. Survivors include: his parents, Mike and Holly Terney, of the home; brothers: Corey Terney and wife, Krystle, of Earlsboro, OK; and John Throne and wife, Desera, of Sallisaw, OK; sisters: Nicole Marks and husband, Matt, of Warner, OK; Charissa Kerns and husband, Mike, of Tryon, OK; and Tonisha, Rapp and husband, Al, of Choctaw, OK; uncle, Jim Terney, of Seminole, OK; nieces and nephews: Cierra Wallace, Lilah and Olivia Rapp, Bailey and Briley Kerns, Brady Bailey, Koltin and Skyler Lusk, Brooklyn, Kealey, and Courtney Terney, Gavin, Landon, and John Henry Throne; and paternal grandmother, Joyce Terney, of Seminole, OK. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Terney.
