Justice Wayne Wade, 79, of Eufaula, passed away on May 17, 2018 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Wayne was born on July 22, 1938, in Hortense, Texas, the son of James Avery and Dovie (Walters) Wade. He graduated from Chester High School in Chester, TX and received his bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. On May 23, 1964, he married Carolyn Ann Seward in Houston, Texas. They were happily married for forty-six years. Wayne worked as a sales representative for a company that sent him throughout three states. He then took a job as an audio visual director for a Houston public school system. In the summer of 1976, he earned his Master's in Education degree. Wayne and Carolyn moved to southeast Oklahoma the following year. While working for National Oilwell, Wayne turned to writing as a creative outlet, began a graphics career and started writing a novel. He worked as a free-lance tech illustrator. Following a 14 year period, he and Carolyn moved to Lake Eufaula. He worked as a photojournalist for the Indian Journal newspaper for eight years. On May 7, 2010, Carolyn passed away. On February 12, 2012, Wayne married Ivonne Alexander in Checotah, Oklahoma. They were happily married for six years. He was a member of the Faith Temple Church in Checotah. Survivors include: his wife, Ivonne, of the home; his daughter, Michele Ross of Tulsa; his son-in-law, Brian Ross of Tulsa; a brother Benny P. Wade of Livingston, TX; and a grandson, Christian A. Ross of Tulsa. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Carolyn, his brothers, Doug and Cecil, his sisters, Valley, Nellie and Estelle and an infant brother and sister.
