Juanita Martin

Juanita Martin, 92, of Eufaula, passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at her home. Juanita was born on January 7, 1925, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, the daughter of Eber and Rendi Parthena (Jones) Kennedy. She attended Artussee School up to the 8th grade. On June 4, 1948, Juanita married Jonies Martin, who preceded her in death on January 2, 1982. They were happily married for thirty-three years. She was a member of the Church of God in Eufaula, Oklahoma. Juanita was an avid quilt maker and gardener. Survivors include: her daughter, Kathryne Smith, of Eufaula; three step-daughters: Peggy Hughes, Patsy Volkel, and Barbara Kelley, all of Tulsa, OK; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jonies Martin; one son, Curtis Burns; brothers: A.J. Kennedy, Lois Kennedy, J.R. Kennedy, and Floyd Kennedy; sisters: Sally Burns; Bertha Mae Urquhart, and Obie Kennedy.
