Joyce Virginia Gawf

Joyce Virginia Gawf, 84, of Muskogee, passed away on July 7, 2020 at the St. John's Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joyce was born on October 30, 1935 in Artussee, Oklahoma to Alfred and Ida Marie (White) Montgomery. She attended Artussee Schools and graduated from Eufaula High School. She attended beauty school in Shawnee. On January 25, 1954, Joyce married William "Bill" L. Gawf in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She enjoyed reading her bible, traveling, and telling everyone she came in contact with about Jesus. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include: her daughters: Pamela Fleming, of the home and Sherry Hooker of Norman; her brothers, Jimmy and Sherry Montgomery of Eufaula and Keith and Debbie Montgomery of Edmond; her sisters, Kathy Hall of Longtown, Rena Blagrave, of Texas, Marie and Jack Sellers of Eufaula and Theresa and Tommy Akers also of Eufaula; her grandchildren, Melisha Francis and husband Jeremy, Nathan Francis and partners, Jeff Aaron and Bill Irons and Nicholas Francis and wife Chelsa; her great grandchildren, Ethan Francis, Alexis Francis, Trevor Armstrong, Jr, and Jada Francis. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill in 2011, two brothers, Woodrow and Harold, one sister, Trena Smithee; a grandson, Trevor Armstrong and a granddaughter, Benay Francis.
