Joyce Carolyn Buie

Joyce Carolyn Buie, 80, of Okemah, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Joyce was born on July 15, 1942, in Checotah, Oklahoma, the daughter of Noah B. and Oma Pearl (Hammons) Cagle. She attended Checotah Public Schools. On June 20, 1960, Joyce married Paul David Buie at the Checotah Assembly of God. Joyce and David were happily married for sixty-two years. Joyce was a member of the Assembly of God Church. She loved spending time with her family.

Survivors include: her husband, David, of the home; sons, Gregory Bryan Buie and wife Linda of Bartlesville and Steven Paul Buie and wife Trina of Okemah; daughter Ginger Renee McCoy and husband Roy of Prague; brother Melvin Cagle of Checotah; sister Robbie Humphrey and husband Joe Ed of Morris; eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Thelma Herron.
